Paralegal Questions / Potential Paralegal Student with some Questions
« on: January 01, 2012, 06:03:58 PM »
Hi everyone, I am a 27 year old male with a BS in History. I've been job searching since graduation 2 years ago and I have decided to get my Paralegal Certification. The last few weeks I have been exploring different programs, mainly trying to decide between an ABA or non ABA certified program. I have a few questions I have been trying to get answered and I find talking to the people who run these programs just tell you how there programs are the way to go.
So do employers prefer the ABA certification?
Does having your four year degree help you to get a higher paying job in most cases?
Hows the employment outlook? I have read in some places that being a paralegal is a dying profession.
Obviously I know there are a lot of different factors to take into account when answering these questions, especially ones location, but any information would help me out a lot.
Thanks in advance!
