I also have to work but the trophy paralegal gets the day off, but of course.   Officially we are closed on Monday but I have TONS of work so I am working.

I don't know which is worse, not closing or saying yes we are closed but you need to complete 10,000 projects in four days, which is not even possible in five days.

I'm going through something similar.  I call them Trophy Paralegals.   Here is one example, one day I complimented her outfit and said she looked good, she replies "I look good every day."  right, sure

Boss loves her and talks about how "pretty she is" when I am in the room, of course, no such compliments for me, so I assume I am playing the part of smart but not pretty paralegal, although I have my fair share of compliments, I am a brunette with an ethnic look and she is blonde and blue eyed.

I'm so glad I come here today and joined.  I wanted to quit my job on Friday and bash heads.  I could barely stand the physical existence of my boss.  Plus I have been helping with office management and the critics are relentless.
