Encoded media on DVD
« on: February 02, 2012, 10:19:44 AM »

Through discovery we received a DVD recording of the surveillance camera footage.  It appears to be encoded with some type of media software, which  I can download and and then play on my computer just fine.  However, for upcoming depositions we need to play the DVD in our conference room on the wide screen TV - but our DVD player doesn't read it.  I have tried playing it at home on three different DVD players and all I get is a blue screen.  Any suggestions?

If you can put the decryption software onto a laptop, you might be able to hook that up to the TV and play it.  Most laptops with DVD players have some kind of video output that works with modern TV's.

Otherwise, I can't really say.
