Hi. I'm new to the group - thanks for your reply to my question on software.  IDK about everyone else, but school just started for my kids and we're all trying to adjust to new schedules - maybe that's where people are at.

Somewhere in all these dusty lawbooks, a great paralegal got lost  :P

Well, first I went on vacation.

Then I came back from vacation.

That was 2.5 weeks ago.

I think I've come home before 7pm precisely once (maybe twice) since

And all the para's jobs are up for apparent removal.

Shit ain't good.

I can't use work for an excuse. Work is the same old same old for me. I did get a new pc with a new version of Windows so I have been busy learning it and playing around. That and some schoolwork and I haven't made it here much for awhile either.  :o

I know!  We should really have a protest or something.

Actually, if it weren't for psycho lying plaintiff tucking his tail and running home, I would be busy with trial prep.  I'm happy to have a little bit of breathing room (for now)!

Wow...you aren't my clone, are you? I certainly have no lying plaintiff that we're having to deal with as defense counsel. Nosir. Not us.  Except in our case, lying plaintiff is making more work, not less, for us, damnit

Lost - ha!  Yep, a lot of those psycho lying plaintiffs going around.   Ugh, I can relate to the making more work part.  But hopefully all his lies will implode & then you'll be able to sweep that case off your desk!  I love that part.  Sending good luck vibes your way!

I actually have to blame work for my ghostishness. I think I just invented a word!  ;D ;D Anyway, the job I took like 2 months ago is in the middle of a VERY complex construction suit. Somebody was crazy enough to figure out how much discovery had been generated and I think the count was somewhere near 70,000 pages. I have 2 banker's boxes stuffed on my floors and I'm about to send a 6 inch thick summary judgment motion to this poor judge. He's gonna stroke out when he sees it!

On top of that, my fiance is in football season (he coaches), my kids are in soccer, we're planning the wedding and buying a new home. And I've been sick. So nah, nothing much going on with me!
